Police: Sapulpa Man Killed By His Father In Dallas

A father shot and killed his 20-year-old son following an argument March 24, 2012 according to Dallas Police.

Sanders Phillips, 50, has been charged with murder.

Dallas Police Department spokesman Kevin Janse said Phillips' son, 20-year-old James Phillips of Sapulpa, died from a shotgun blast to the stomach shortly after police arrived at 11:38 p.m. Saturday.

Phillips had called police to report that he shot his son.

Phillips remains in the Dallas County Jail.
