Two Men Wounded In South Tulsa Shootout

A verbal argument between a group of men escalated into an exchange of gunfire near 61st Street and Peoria Avenue Thursday afternoon.

Two white males were arguing with three black males at the Wedgewood Apartments, 1140 E. 61st St., when the groups started shooting at one another.

EMSA transported two of the men to St. Francis Hospital. A 31-year-old white male is in critical condition and a 22-year-old white male is in fair condition, according to EMSA Public Information Officer Chris Stevens.

The three black males fled the scene and are possibly in a champagne-colored vehicle.
