The man wanted for the robbery of a Muskogee Bank was arrested near Taft Thursday afternoon.
Jerry Lee Taylor, 66, was caught only block away from where he abandoned his car.
Taylor is accused of robbing the Banc First branch in Muskogee just minutes after they opened Thursday morning.
Authorities say he vaulted over the teller counter, began taking money from the teller drawers and gathered the money and left the bank.
A Muskogee County deputy pulled Taylor over shortly after the robbery. But the suspect sped away while the deputy obtained Taylor's driver's license.
After a short search, authorities found Taylor's car in Taft, but they didn't have to go far to find Taylor. Authorities found him only about a block away from where he abandoned his car, according to the FBI.
The Muskogee Police Department is assisting in the investigation. No one was injured during the robbery. Due to technical difficulties, surveillance video was not available.
Taylor is facing federal charges for bank robbery.
