A man who was named a "person of interest" after a 22-year-old woman was found dead Tuesday, was shot and killed by Tulsa Police later that night as he attacked another woman.
Investigators believed 25-year-old Phillip Steven Doll may have been connected to the death of his live-in girlfriend Natalie Anne Davis, whose body was found Tuesday morning at The Lodge Apartments, 7933 South Yale Avenue.
About 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, police were dispatched to the 900 block of East 36th Street after a senior citizen's grandson called 911. He told police his grandmother's house was being burglarized and that the intruder was inside.
When police arrived, they heard screaming and quickly entered through the backdoor of the home to find Doll on top of the woman.
Police say they ordered Doll to get off the woman and show his hands, but he refused and lunged at the officers. That's when police say they opened fire, killing Doll.

The Davis homicide is still an open case, despite Doll's death, police say.
Police say Davis may have been dead for days inside the apartment before her body, which was shot in the head, was found.
The body was transported to the Medical Examiner's Office to determine the exact manner and cause of death.
Anyone with information on the case can call Crime Stoppers: (918) 596-COPS, or the homicide tip line at (918) 798-8477.
