Charges Filed In Tulsa Courthouse Shooting

Formal charges have been filed against a Tulsa man in connection with a shooting in a plaza outside Tulsa County District Court.

Online court records show that two counts of shooting with intent to kill and two weapons charges were filed Tuesday against 23-year-old Andrew Joseph Dennehy.

The records do not list an attorney for Dennehy.

Authorities say a deputy and a bystander were wounded when Dennehy opened fire on March 7 and that Dennehy was wounded when a deputy returned fire. All are recovering.

Tulsa County District Attorney Tim Harris has recused his office from the case because some of his employees witnessed the shooting and could be called to testify. A prosecutor from neighboring Wagoner County is handling the case.
