Former Bartlesville High School standout Noah Hartsock set the pace for the Cougars as BYU erased a 25-point deficit, the largest in tournament history, to top Iona 78-72 in the NCAA Tournament First Round Tuesday.
The forward scored 16 of his 25 points in the closing 20 minutes of the contest, setting the pace for the Cougars in the win, just three shy of his career-high. Through the season, Hartsock has been BYU's leading scorer, averaging 19.1 points per contest.
The Cougars will now take on the Marquette Golden Eagles, a No. 3 seed, in Louisville, Kentucky in the second round of the NCAA Tournament as part of the West Region.
