A Tulsa police officer's sharp eyes led to the arrest of an 18-year-old man on a burglary complaint early Tuesday.

Police say the officer was patrolling in the 10100 block of East Admiral Boulevard at about 12:47 a.m. when she noticed a man walking east with something shiny protruding from his front pocket.

When the officer stopped Mason Shumard, he told her he had just gotten kicked out of his parent's home.

According to jail records, the officer discovered he had a pocketful of watches and a wad of cash that the officer believed Shumard had taken during a burglary.

After further questioning, Shumard said he had broken into a business at the flea market at Admiral and Mingo. Tulsa Police investigated and determined Cool Trends had indeed been burglarized.

Shumard was arrested and booked into the Tulsa County jail on a 2nd degree burglary complaint.

Items taken in the burglary were returned to the business.
