TULSA, Oklahoma -- A second suspect is in custody in a car theft that proved fatal for a Tulsa woman. Brandon James Dalton Maxwell, 18, was arrested overnight Sunday in the death of Avonna Olson.
Maxwell was booked on complaints of second-degree murder, leaving the scene of an accident and larceny of an auto.
Destin Ray Rodriguez was arrested Friday in the deadly car theft.

Maxwell was arrested by officers from the Tulsa Police Department Fugitive Warrants team who tracked him to the Gateway Inn at 49th West Avenue and Skelly Drive. Officers found Maxwell in a room at the backside of the complex and arrested him without incident.
"[We ] get here [and] just missed him in the room," Tulsa Police Sergeant Thomas Sherman said.
So authorities "set up surveillance on the room [and] subsequently captured him next to the proximity, without any incident," Sherman said.
Olson, a 45-year-old wife, mother and grandmother, was killed when she tried to prevent the theft of her minivan. Police say she'd started the van then gone back inside when she heard someone get into the vehicle.

She confronted the thieves and was crushed underneath the van as they drove away.
Northern Oklahoma Violent Crimes Task Force assisted in the arrest.
