Attorney General Scott Pruitt honored a Tulsa County Sheriff's deputy for his work on behalf of Oklahoma seniors and vulnerable adults.

Deputy Wayne Pauley received the 2012 Brad Edwards Consumer Champion Award Thursday.

Pauley started with the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office in 1990, and has been an advocate for seniors and vulnerable adults for the past 13 years, according to a release.

TCSO Chief Deputy says Pauley goes above and beyond the call of duty. He frequently visits the homes of elderly citizens and even arranged transportation for dialysis patients during last year's snow storm.

The Brad Edwards Consumer Champion Award is given out each year in honor of an Oklahoma City consumer advocate.
