Owasso Hit-And-Run Driver Abandons Child In Stranger's Yard

A man involved in a hit and run in Owasso abandoned a 5-year-old boy in a stranger's yard, then ran from the scene. 

It happened Wednesday afternoon at 86th Street North and 161st East Avenue.

Police say the man hit another vehicle, but kept going. When the car quit working about a mile later, he took the little boy out and left him there.

A witness at the scene said the man said something about having warrants before taking off.

Police couldn't find the suspected hit-and-run driver, but now know his name and expect to file charges later.

The little boy wasn't hurt and is back with his mother.
