ROCHESTER, Michigan – The Golden Eagles are certainly putting together some momentum heading into the Summit League Tournament.
ORU won its fourth straight game in an easy 77-51 trip to Oakland on Monday night.
Kevi Luper had her usual scoring output with 27 points and added a season-high eight rebounds to her night.
Bernadett Balla and Georgia Jones also had big nights for the Golden Eagles, with Balla putting up 16 points and seven boards and Jones adding 14.
Oral Roberts wasted no time jumping out to a huge lead as it started things off with a 10-0 run and eventually led 19-4.
ORU would not slow down and continually increased its lead throughout the game, peaking at the final 26-point margin.
The Golden Eagles were impressive offensively but even more so on the defensive end, holding the Golden Grizzlies to 29 percent shooting from the field.
Oral Roberts upped its record to 19-9 overall (13-4 Summit League) while Oakland fell to 11-14, 7-8.
ORU is assured of no lower than the No. 2 seed in the upcoming conference tournament.
The Golden Eagles will finish the regular season out on Saturday at Southern Utah. Tipoff in Cedar City is scheduled for 6 p.m.
