It appears Old Man Winter is giving Northeast Oklahoma a "slap in the face," so to speak, this weekend.
The first significant Arctic blast of the winter season has arrived, and News On 6 meteorologist Michael Grogan says this weekend's cold wave, while it may be short-lived, will be cold with wind chills down near zero by early Saturday morning.
Read Michael Grogan's weather blog.
With the cold air, Grogan says there is a chance for a wintry mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain through Monday morning.
Since its been awhile for these kind of temps, you might want to take some precautions around your home in order for you to stay safe and warm.
