A dangerous Tulsa County intersection got a new traffic signal.
41st Street South and 65th West Avenue has seen more than its share of accidents over the years, so there was quite a celebration for the new stop light Wednesday.
Kayla Madlock knows all too well how dangerous the intersection can be. She was hit by a speeding car and seriously injured back in 2010.
"It's going to save lives. There are so many wrecks here, you couldn't imagine how many there were before the light was put in," Madlock said.
Madlock was a junior at Berryhill High School at the time. A lot of the traffic at the intersection is connected to the school and Berryhill's superintendent also had a wreck there.
The new stop light went active last month.
