Homeless Man Injured When He Starts Fire In Vacant Tulsa Home

Tulsa Fire says the cause of an early Wednesday morning house fire is being blamed on a homeless man trying to stay warm.

The Tulsa Fire Department blames an early morning house fire on a homeless man trying to stay warm.

Firefighters got the call shortly before 6:30 a.m. to a home near Pine and Lewis.

Fire officials say a man living in the vacant home started a fire in the fireplace which quickly got out of control.

The man was treated by EMSA paramedics for cuts on his feet and is expected to be okay.

The home sustained smoke and water damage throughout the structure.
