The price of a gallon of unleaded gas is averaging $3.19 in Tulsa. It could only be the beginning of an upward slide.

One industry analyst says it could be a chaotic spring with gas prices spiking 60 cents by May.

This could mean bad news for people who are making plans for trips in the near future. Chances are if you're not driving, you're flying to your destination.

Either way travel is going to be more expensive.

USA Today reports gas prices could peak at $4.05 cents this year. Seeing an increase is an annual spring ritual because of seasonal demand.
