The Tulsa Police Department released its annual crime report Wednesday. While robberies, homicides and assaults were down in 2011, other categories including burglaries, rape, larceny and auto thefts saw an increase.
According to the FBI's Uniform Crime Report system, crime reported in Tulsa was up slightly by 0.9 percent in 2011, compared to 2010 numbers.
The largest increase was auto thefts. There was a 3.5 percent increase in stolen cars reported to police compared to the previous year.
The most dramatic decrease was in robberies. In 2010 there were 1,381 reported robberies. In 2011, police only recorded 1,090 robberies. That is a decrease of 21.1 percent.
