A construction company and a community service club teamed up to create an Oklahoma Moment at Tulsa's Celia Clinton Elementary School Thursday.
The school has been without a flag pole since it opened in 2010. Flinto Construction brought a big crane to the school Thursday and installed one.
It was fun for the students but also an opportunity to learn. They took part in a flag unfolding and raising ceremony, then saluted the flag by saying the Pledge of Allegiance.
The Tulsa Rotary Club helped make it all happen.
"With a number of other partners that made this happen, today - otherwise we still would not have a flag pole for a while, we would be on a waiting list waiting for it to happen," said Celia Clinton Elementary Principal Tanya Davis.
Tulsa Rotary has adopted the north side school and supports its students in a variety of ways.
