Residents Evacuated After West Tulsa Apartment Fire

Several residents of a west Tulsa apartment complex were evacuated Thursday after a fire broke out in one of the units.

Tulsa Fire crews responded to the Westport Apartments near 2100 south Jackson around 3 p.m.

Crews say the fire appears to have only affected 5 to 7 units. Everyone got out, and there were no injuries.

Crews had the fire under control very quickly. Firefighters say it started in a fireplace. No one was home at the time.
