Tulsa Police are investigating a self-inflicted shooting in the 3400 block of South Oswego Thursday morning.

It happened just before 9 a.m.

Police identify the man who was shot as 41-year-old Robert McDermed.

They say he was being interviewed by Homeland Security and Immigration and Custom officers when he got up, went into a bathroom and shot himself.

EMSA took McDermed to a Tulsa hospital.  We don't know his condition.

Tulsa Police have questioned the federal agents at the scene but haven't said why McDermed was being interviewed.

Police say McDermed's wife was also home at the time and is talking with investigators.
