State Highway 88 south of Claremore was closed Wednesday morning because of a head-on crash.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the crash happened at 6:33 a.m. about 2 miles south of Claremore near Tiawah in Rogers County.

Troopers say a 1998 Dodge Durango driven by Austin Hendrix, 22, rear-ended a dump truck, causing the Durango to cross into oncoming traffic and strike a car head-on.

Hendrix was treated and released at a Tulsa hospital, according to the OHP.

Troopers say Dustin Hefner, 25, was driving the 1989 Peterbilt dump truck and wasn't hurt.

Angela Fields, 38, was driving the 2009 Chevy Cobalt, according to the OHP, and was taken to a hospital in Claremore then transferred to one in Tulsa.

Troopers say Hefner and Fields were wearing seatbelts, but Hendrix was not.

The highway was closed for about an hour and a half.
