Tulsa Police arrested a woman Tuesday for stealing a $35,000, 2.04 carat diamond ring from Sam's Club. They say Shannon Lashea Porter, her boyfriend and her children's father acted together to take the ring.

The theft happened on December 17, 2011, at the Sam's in the 6900 block of South Mingo Road. Porter was arrested Tuesday, January 17.

Investigators say Porter--wearing an ankle monitor--acted as a lookout while one of the men asked to see the ring and then left with it, fighting with loss prevention officers on his way out the door. The say the other man drove the getaway vehicle.

Officers initially arrested Porter, 26, after stopping her for a traffic violation. She told officers she did not have an ID and gave them a false name, according to arrest records. She then gave them a second name – also false.

Porter eventually confessed her true identity. Police learned there was a warrant out for her arrest for escape from confinement.

Porter was booked on complaints of larceny from a retailer, conspiracy to commit larceny, escape from confinement and false impersonation. She is in Tulsa County Jail on a $540,000 bond.

It's not known if the ring was recovered, or if any other suspects involved were arrested.
