TROY, Illinois -- A Tulsa man is facing drug trafficking charges after authorities say he was caught with 77 pounds of pot in Illinois, according to a press release.
The Illinois state police pulled over 74-year-old Refugio Salazar for a traffic violation on Interstate 55 near Troy, Illinois Wednesday morning.
Troopers then searched his 1996 Ford Truck where they found 77 pounds of marijuana stored in bundles inside a stack of plywood.
The street value of the marijuana is estimated to be around $350,000.
He's being held in the Madison County, Illinois jail on a quarter million dollar bond.
