Two Bartlesville Police officers charged with assault and battery have pleaded not guilty.

Officer Stacy Neafus, 42, and officer Sonya Worthington, 44, were charged following an investigation by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation into an incident at a Bartlesville hospital on September 18, 2011.

Court records say Neafus and Worthington were dispatched to the Jane Phillips Medical Center after a patient became combative.  A witness told Bartlesville Police both officers assaulted the patient while he was handcuffed.
