TULSA, Oklahoma – Monday night could only be considered business as usual for the Golden Eagles.
ORU executed its typical game plan in ideal fashion with a 92-66 blowout of the North Dakota State Bison at the Mabee Center.
Oral Roberts forced the Bison into 29 turnovers and converted those into 28 points.
Meanwhile, the Golden Eagles got exactly what they expected on offense. Kevi Luper led the team with 25 points, and Jordan Pyle added in 13 points.
They were the only two ORU players in double figures, but were the only two who needed to be. Eleven players scored for the Golden Eagles.
Guard Georgia Jones ran the show effectively with nine assists to go along with nine points.
For most of the first half, Oral Roberts was able to double up on NDSU.
A jumper from Jones gave her team a 22-11 margin early, and she hit another shot later in the first half to make the lead 40-20.
ORU shot 46 percent as a team for the game and racked up 18 steals.
The Golden Eagles (10-6, 4-1 Summit League) have won four straight and will hit the road again to face IUPUI on Saturday in Indianapolis. Tipoff is set for 4:30 p.m.
