Tulsa Sales Tax Revenue Up 11 Percent In November

The City of Tulsa saw an increase in sales tax revenue for the month of November, the mayor announced Monday.

Revenue was up 11.34 percent compared to November of 2010. Mayor Bartlett said part of the increase is because a "Four-To-Fix The County" tax expired. That money now goes to Tulsa's "Fix Our Streets" program.

"We are encouraged to see revenues continue to improve," said Bartlett. "It appears that the first portion of the Christmas retail season was good in Tulsa."

The city received $20,011,737 from the Oklahoma Tax Commission. That compares to 17,974, 061 in November of 2010.
