Back on July 23, 2011, the PBS' Antiques Roadshow rolled into Tulsa. Thousands from across northeastern Oklahoma crowded into the downtown Tulsa Convention Center for the one day event.
The first of three parts of the popular show from Tulsa airs Monday evening on OETA.
The first Antiques Roadshow episode Monday evening will feature a signed note from Mother Teresa; an 1894 Winchester rifle; and a collection of late 17th-, early 18th-century Chinese rhinoceros horn cups that are valued at more than a million dollars.
OETA plans to rerun's Monday's Antiques Roadshow episode throughout the week.
On Monday, January 9, 2012, part two will air on OETA and features a 1960 first edition of "To Kill a Mockingbird" inscribed by author Harper Lee; a collection of bronzes that may or may not be Remingtons and Russells; and a 1924 Gibson F-5 "Lloyd Loar" mandolin valued at $175,000.
The final Antiques Roadshow episode shot in Tulsa back in July will air on OETA on Monday, January 16, 2012 and will feature an 1826 English gadget cane that's equipped with both a pistol and a telescope; a 1931 Oscar Mayer in-store display; and a circa 1600 Ming Dynasty cast bronze guardian figure.
While Antiques Roadshow was in Tulsa more than 10,000 appraisals were made.
This is the 16th season for the PBS show.
