All a Rogers County woman wants for Christmas is the safe return of her wallaby.

Donna Sheriff's wallaby has been missing since December 10th. She's not sure if it was stolen or ran away from her 400 acre farm in Inola.

You'll find a menagerie of animals on Donna Sheriff's farm. There's goats, guineas, and lots of friendly horses. But it's what's missing from the enclosure that has Sheriff upset.

"I'm attached to all of my animals to an unrealistic extent but I love him very much," Donna Sheriff said.

She's talking about Prince Willie, her pet wallaby.

"He has a best friend, Spot the cat," she said.

Sheriff doesn't have a current picture but a grown wallaby looks similar to a kangaroo only smaller.

"He's just so sweet. He so sweet and he's so amicable with all the other animals," Sheriff said.

Sheriff says Prince Willie went missing on December 10th. She says he was there at 9 in the morning but gone when she went back to his enclosure later in the afternoon. His gate was closed and the chain locked.

"I hate to be accusatory but, one, he couldn't get out of it and the crazy thing is when I came back it was closed. Who would steal him and then lock it back?" she said.

Sheriff says a wallaby is worth about $1700 on the open market and she's worried someone may have taken it and sold it to be used as a pet or something worse. But she hopes whoever has Prince Willie is taking care of him.

"They take a special diet, they're delicate in some ways and hearty in a few other ways," she said.

Sheriff has had Prince Willie for five years and she says he has never gotten out of his enclosure without help. She says regardless how he disappeared, she just wants him back...no questions asked.

"It's just not fair for somebody to take anything but a loved animal or somebody you've loved so much...they don't know what you've been through with them," she said.

Sheriff is offering a reward for information about what happened to her wallaby. You can contact her at 918-543-6789.
