TULSA, Oklahoma -- The Oral Roberts Golden Eagles capitalized on turnovers from Arkansas-Little Rock and topped the Trojans 78-63 Tuesday to move to 7-3 on the season.
The Trojans turned the ball over 29 times, leading to 32 of the Golden Eagles' points in the contest, while ORU outscored UALR 38-18 in the paint. Additionally, Oral Roberts built its lead in the second half thanks to sharp shooting, hitting 16 of their 26 attempts in the closing 20 minutes.
A game after just coming up with 11, Kevi Luper led all scorers with 31 points, including going 5-of-8 from three-point range. Forward Savanna Buck contributed 14 points and seven rebounds, while Jordan Pyle scored 10 coming off of the bench.
Britteni Williams led the charge for the Trojans, coming away with 17 points and five rebounds, with Taylor Gault and Janette Merriex both contributing 14 each.
The Golden Eagles will be back in action at 7:05 p.m. Thursday against Grambling, before taking a week off to prepare for a matchup with Kansas.
