Arrowhead Elementary School in Broken Arrow has been chosen to receive $25,000 as part of a national contest.
The school is one of eight schools across the nation to receive $25,000 from the Windstream SchoolsWIN Classroom Connections program. The money will be used for technology upgrades.
The school will receive the check on Wednesday, December 7, 2011, at 9 a.m. during an assembly.
Arrowhead Elementary sent cards, letters and care packages to U.S. troops for its community service project. The school submitted a video of the effort as part of the contest.
After being selected as one of the 30 finalists, Arrowhead Elementary encouraged family, friends and community members to vote for the school's video.
