A Dewey couple entered a guilty plea to one count each of child neglect on Wednesday and were sentenced by a Washington County district court judge.

The charge stemmed from an investigation by Dewey Police of the couple's home in April 2011.

Police say David and Heather Frenchman lived in what police called a filthy home along with their three young children.

Officers told News On 6 the home was littered with rotten food, rat droppings and bugs.
