Tulsa Police says the state Medical Examiner's Office has confirmed that the body found in an east Tulsa pond last month is that of Sheila Scott also known as Sheila Sharpe.
On October, 25, 2011 a woman called police after her dog retrieved a left shoe and human foot from the pond in the 500 block of South Mingo.
Tulsa Police and the city of Tulsa Public Works Department drained the pond revealing a Ford Expedition. Once the Expedition was pulled from the pond the vehicle was confirmed to belong to Sheila Scott. Human remains were discovered inside.

The Oklahoma ME's Office took custody of the remains and Thursday confirmed they were Sheila Scott. Police say identification was made through medical records.
