Severe thunderstorms and tornadoes rolled across parts of southwestern and south central Oklahoma Monday afternoon causing some damage.

SkyNews9 was live streaming pictures of the tornadoes in the Wichita Mountains near Meers.

SkyNews9 captured video of a large tornado on the ground near the Blue Canyon Wind Farm northwest of Lawton.

News On 6 pilot Will Kavanagh was flying SkyNews9 for our sister station in Oklahoma City.

At times it was a large wedge tornado. At other times, viewers could see several smaller stovepipe tornadoes touching down.

Anadarko, Enid and Lawton were among the cities that were included in the watch.

Heavy rains fell Sunday night and early Monday in south central Oklahoma. Those rains flooded homes and streets in Murray County.

Firefighters had to rescue five people from their flooded homes.

After the storms move out sometime Tuesday afternoon, most of Oklahoma will experience cooler and drier air for the remainder of the week.
