Tulsa once again made it close, but finished off Cameron University 69-64 to close out exhibition play with another win on Saturday.
Four Golden Hurricane players scored in double figures to help TU improve to 2-0 in exhibition play after a win against Rogers State earlier in the week.
The first half made the game look destined for a blowout, as Tulsa got up by as many as 21 points.
But poor shooting from the Golden Hurricane in the second half allowed the Cameron Aggies right back into it. TU shot 28 percent in the second half and eventually allowed Cameron to come back and take the lead.
The Aggies scored to go up 49-48 with 10 minutes remaining in the game.
After several minutes of back-and-forth play, TU regained a 64-62 lead with 2:21 remaining and was able to hit its free throws to finish out the game.
Denise Lewis led all Tulsa scorers with 16 and Jessica McQuin, Chanice Scott and Loren McDaniel also reached double figures.
Sabelle Diata of Cameron led all scorers with 18 points and added 13 boards.
The Golden Hurricane shot just 33 percent overall from the field to Cameron's 42.
But the TU defense forced 28 turnovers and outrebounded the Aggies 51-48.
Tulsa will start regular season play on Nov. 11 at UALR in Little Rock, Ark. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
