OKLAHOMA CITY -- More than 100 inmates are now out of prison and on the streets due to a new law that went into effect Tuesday.
The Oklahoma Department of Corrections said the release of the 174 inmates, 50 of which are female, is all part of a move to ease prison overcrowding.

The new law makes non-violent prisoners, sentenced to five years or less, eligible to get out after just three months into their terms.
