Rain will continue this morning with temps in the mid 40s.  The rain will be ending around noon to the early afternoon periods with highs moving into the lower 50s.

The main upper level system is still west of the area and the lift associated with a disturbance rotating around this trough is now entering our area.  This means the rain is starting to increase across western sections of our area and will move across eastern and southern sections later this morning.  The disturbance will be moving east of the state this afternoon with clearing sky later tonight.

Rainfall rates will moderate but the duration of the event should deposit about a half an inch or more in the rain bands.  North winds will continue in the 15 to 25 mph range for the next 8 hours with cloudy, wet, and cool conditions.  Daytime highs will be in the lower 50s after dropping into the lower or mid 40s this morning under the rain.

The cool air will remain Friday and Saturday with mostly sunny skies and light west winds Friday and light south winds Saturday.  Some fog will be a possibility Friday morning.

The EURO has now come around to the GFS solution for the weekend.   The GFS is much more progressive with the upper air flow and keeps the trough moving eastward rapidly.  This would mean mild and dry weather Sunday through Tuesday with highs in the lower 70s and lows in the lower 50s.

The upper air pattern does appear to be somewhat active for the rest of the week and extending into early next week as a series of upper level systems will move across the nation.
