TU Hurricane Family Says Goodbye To Former Teammate

TULSA, Oklahoma -- The Tulsa Golden Hurricane family said goodbye to yet another former teammate.

Anthony Germany, 25, is the third member of Tulsa's 2007 team to pass away this year. Germany died last Tuesday from complications with a pulmonary embolism.

Mourners packed TU's Sharp Chapel Monday morning for a memorial service in Germany's honor.

He played safety and was a three-year starter, as well as a member of Tulsa's 2005 Conference USA championship team.

Germany graduated from Putnam City High school and he'll be remembered at a service in Oklahoma City Tuesday.

He leaves behind a wife, his parents, and two siblings.

TU player George Clinkscale died last month, and Wilson Holloway passed away in February.
