Man Pleads In Sequoyah County Robbery That Killed 1-Year-Old

ROLAND, Oklahoma -- An Arkansas man will spend ten years in jail for a robbery that killed a one-year-old girl in Roland in Sequoyah County last year.

Michael Clemente made a deal to plead guilty to robbery, and in exchange prosecutors dropped the murder charge.

Police say Clemente, and another man broke into Devin Jeremiah's home, beat him up and took off. Jeremiah shot at their getaway car.

Police say Heather Jones was driving and had her one-year-old with her. One of the bullets hit the girl, killing her.

Jones and the other robber are charged with first degree murder. Jeremiah is charged with second-degree murder.

They've all pleaded not guilty.
