TULSA, Oklahoma -- Tulsa residents will be able to dispose of unwanted items in and around their homes this Saturday and Sunday at the Quarry Landfill on 46th Street North and east of U.S. Highway 169.
The hours each day are 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Residents will need to show a city of Tulsa utility bill or a driver's license with an address within the city limits of Tulsa to participate.
There are some exceptions according to city of Tulsa officials.
No items containing Freon refrigerant will be accepted, that includes air conditioners and refrigerators.
In addition, there will be a $2.50 fee for each discarded tire with rim sizes up to 19.5 inches. For larger tires the fee is $3.50. For motorcycle and smaller tires the fee is $1.
Officials say the tire-disposal charge cover state fees for disposal and recycling of tires.
