TULSA, Oklahoma – The Tulsa Golden Hurricane got off to a very slow start against a struggling UAB team, but recovered to earn decent grades in Bobby Lewis' report card.
UAB entered the game without connecting on a touchdown pass all season, but threw two early in the game to take a 14-10 lead at the time. Tulsa also struggled with turnovers, committing a total of four on the night.
The Hurricane made adjustments after that and improved drastically in the second half. The defense did not allow another point after halftime, and the offense put together 13 unanswered points to seal the victory.
