TALALA, Oklahoma -- The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reopened Highway 169 two miles north of Talala in Rogers County after a car crash killed two people Friday afternoon.

Troopers identified the victims as 34-year-old Christina Ramsey and 8-year-old Josie Ramsey, both of Chelsea.

According to the OHP, the preliminary investigation indicates a Honda Element traveling northbound collided with a southbound Oldsmobile, then crashed head-on into a southbound pickup truck pulling a flatbed trailer.

The OHP said the driver and passenger of the SUV, Christina and Josie Ramsey, died at the scene.

The woman driving the Oldsmobile and the man driving the pickup were taken to hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

The OHP closed the highway at about 3:20 p.m. Friday afternoon.

Talala is about 40 miles northeast of Tulsa.  Highway 169 is a busy route for semi trucks heading north to Kansas City.
