'Occupy Tulsa' To Hold Rally And March In Downtown Tulsa Saturday

TULSA, Oklahoma -- The group Occupy Tulsa says it will hold a protest rally and march in downtown Tulsa at noon on Saturday.

The rally will take place at the BOK plaza at 3rd and Denver.

A news release from the group says it will be marching through Tulsa's financial district.

Occupy Tulsa is one of many groups formed across the U.S. in solidarity with protests occurring in New York's Wall Street district.

The release says the Tulsa General Assembly, which coordinates the activities of Occupy Tulsa, is a democratic decision-making body that operates according to principles of transparency and non-hierarchical organization.
