A very mild Friday afternoon is expected with highs in the upper 70s and lower 80s. A few clouds will be possible but mostly sunny conditions will be likely along with southwest winds shifting to the northeast this afternoon in the 10 mph range.
The weekend will feature above normal temps with afternoon highs Saturday in the mid 80s but Sunday's numbers moving into the upper 80s along with southwest winds Sunday afternoon from 10 to 20 mph. The fire danger will be high Sunday due to the influence of the southwest winds and dry conditions across the region.
The upper air flow will drive a boundary into the region Monday afternoon with much cooler air arriving Tuesday through Thursday of next week. Morning lows Tuesday and Wednesday will drop into the 40s with some upper 30s possible Thursday morning.
Afternoon highs will be moving down into the mid 60s Tuesday and Wednesday along with very gusty northwest winds behind the surface front. The prospects for showers and storms Monday along the boundary will be slim. The higher moisture content will remain either east or southeast of our area. The chance for showers and storms will be less than 20% for the Tulsa metro and we have lowered the pop to 10%. I usually don't place these small pops on the map, but we have decided to keep a mention for this time period on the big map.
Enjoy the weekend.
