TULSA, Oklahoma -- Police shut down parts of 81st Street Monday evening after a meth lab was discovered in a storm drain.
An anonymous tip led Tulsa police to the "one-pot" meth lab near the intersection of Lewis and 81st around 6:00 p.m.
A Hazmat crew from Tulsa Fire was quickly on scene to remove the hazardous materials from the storm drain.
"It's in a confined space and anytime that you have those volatile chemicals in a confined space, you have a problem," said Tulsa Police Captain Walter Busby.
Police said the lab posed a small danger to people in the area, but crews had the materials removed within an hour.
