TULSA, Oklahoma -- Tulsa firefighters were able to resuscitate one of three dogs that were injured in a house fire overnight Sunday. The structure fire took place at about 2 a.m. in the 100 block of North Quebec.

Acting Fire Captain Jeff Smith said heavy smoke and flames were pouring out of two sides of the house when his crew arrived. Firefighters put the flames out and discovered the three dogs when they searched the home.

Two of the dogs did not survive, but the third showed signs of life, Smith said. Firefighters treated the pup with oxygen, and the pet is expected to be fine.

No homeowner was present at the time of the fire, and the cause had not yet been determined.
