TULSA, Oklahoma -- A Tulsa organization that helps hundreds of families every month is expanding.
"Last year we ran out of space for our summer school and after school program we had to turn children away," said Wendell Hope with the Tulsa Dream Center. "We made a decision, the board made a decision that we were gonna add on to the facility so we can accommodate those children So, It's meant a lot to the families here in the community."
The Tulsa Dream Center broke ground on a new 20,000 square foot facility Saturday. It'll include space for classrooms, a chapel and extra storage for food.
The building is expected to take about eight months to complete.
