Tulsa's curbside recycling program is now accepting more recyclable materials. The service is available to any city residential trash customer.

TULSA, Oklahoma -- Tulsa's curbside recycling program is now accepting more recyclable materials. The service is available to any city residential trash customer.

The City's recycling collector is now accepting many more paper items. Those include:

  • brown/white paper bags
  • cereal and other paperboard boxes
  • paper egg cartons (no Styrofoam)
  • phone books
  • paper milk and juice drink cartons
  • ice cream and frozen food containers
  • file folders
  • greeting and index cards
  • paper towel/toilet paper rolls
  • soft-cover books
  • notebooks
  • notepads
  • poster board
  • soft-cover text books
  • cardboard boxes (must be flattened and cut into 3 by 3-ft. squares and placed under the green recycling bins).

They are also now accepting the spiral-wound containers that hold items like stackable potato chips and nuts, according to the City's web site.
