TULSA, Oklahoma -- The body of one of Oklahoma's solider sons, returned to the home front Tuesday.
Specialist Christopher Horton was killed during a fire fight in Afghanistan earlier this month. Family members were at the Tulsa Air National Guard Base Tuesday to receive his body.
The 26-year-old was a well accomplished sharp shooter for the 45th Infantry.
Horton's wife and family agreed to be interviewed during this difficult time, so that Oklahomans will remember the sacrificeS our soldiers are making.
"That's why he went over there, he gave up everything to make sure that we have the freedoms that we enjoy right now," said Jane Horton, Christopher Horton's Wife.
Horton joined the National guard in 2008 after training at the Missouri Military Academy. This was his first deployment.
