UPDATE: Sand Spring Police release surveillance photos from the robbery. They show the suspect and the car he was reportedly driving.
SAND SPRINGS, Oklahoma -- A clerk cut her hand running away from a man who robbed a convenience store in Sand Springs late Tuesday night.
Sand Springs Assistant Police Chief Mike Carter says they are following several leads.
The suspect is described as a white male in his late 40's to early 50's, 5'10", and 180 pounds with a dark complexion. Carter says he wore a white bandana with blue stripes, white shirt, blue jeans and black tennis shoes.
The robbery happened at 9 p.m. in the 1600 block of West Wekiwa.
Carter says the suspect entered the store armed with a handgun and demanded the clerk give him money. The clerk instead, ran out the back door hurting her hand in the process.
The suspect ran back out the front door without any money.
Carter says the suspect may be driving a gray or silver Ford car that had body damage.
