TULSA, Oklahoma -- For the third straight year, Tulsa's Oral Roberts University has seen its fall undergraduate and graduate enrollment increase.
In numbers released this week, ORU says enrollment is up 47 students from last fall.
The total enrollment for fall 2011 is 3,259 students.
"I am excited that we have an increase in student enrollment for the third straight year," said President Mark Rutland. "Seeing growth in the student population amidst the current economic conditions is a true testament to the value of an ORU degree."
Rutland attributes the increase to a number of factors including the whole person scholarship program, $40 million in facilities and grounds improvements over the last four years and a positive campus environment.
