Makes 4 – 6 Servings
1 pound of ground beef
1 diced green bell pepper
1 diced red bell pepper
1 diced white onion
1 cup diced tomatoes
1 cup pinto beans (optional)
2 tablespoons cumin
1 tablespoon garlic powder
2 ounces of chili powder
2 diced seedless jalapeño peppers
¼ cup of beer (optional)
1 cup of water
Salt and pepper to taste
Sauté in a skillet with Crisco or olive oil the onions, red and green peppers and jalapenos for approximately 10 minutes.
In a stock pot, brown your meat. When meat is cook through, add onion mixture, diced tomatoes, water, beer, cumin, chili powder, garlic, salt and pepper. Bring mixture to a boil. Allow to simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
